Loneliness, Humanity, and Beauty.
No one ever thinks about the future and says with gusto, " I am going to be lonely when I grow up!"
And yet, I think that a good portion of us are. There's never a good reason for it. It could be too much loss, too little love, too much arrogance, too little humility. There are millions of ways we could fill in those phrases. It's different for everyone.
But, we are all lonely. The reason doesn't matter. It's one of a few things thing we would have in common. Loneliness.
Along with that, our humanity. We, as humans, are inherently flawed. That is what makes us beautiful. It's not that we all have perfectly symmetrical shapes, and our skin tones are perfectly even. No, it's the freckles on our nose, the gold around the iris in my blue eyes, the way cheeks can get rosy with too much sun. It isn't the fact that we always know what to say and when, or the perfect way to cheer someone up. It's that in spite of our flaws, we are still trying. We all fail, but we are all still trying to move forward day in and day out.
I might be too much for some people, and too little for others, but I am beautiful. And so are all of you.
